Rounding Third...
Wow...lots of things have happened since I last wrote, but, really nothing terribly interesting. I'll just do it like this:
1) Took an entire week off for Thanksgiving. We spent Monday-Tuesday at the in-laws, then headed up and over to the glory that is Western PA from Wednesday-Sunday. It was grand to see my family. My sister and her husband came down from Siberia (central NY) and it was really nice to see them and spend time with everyone. Friday, my mom, Nicole and I (with some great help from Dad and Adam) made old-fashioned hard candy all day. This is a Miheli family past-time that we haven't done for a few years. The best part were the glorious smells that filled the house for the entire weekend (namely cinnamon and spearmint.)
2) Josh and I had an 11 hour trip home yesterday (complete with a two-hour hiatus at the in-law's, where we had to stop to eat and pick up dearest Moses).
3) In the next two weeks I have to grade 55 projects (my fault for procrastinating), write 2 research designs with literature reviews, write an extensive literature review for my thesis, and grade 55 final exams. In all actuality, it's not that bad. I think it will be feasible, if exhausting.
There are so many more interesting things I could be writing about right now, but I'm just tired. After arriving home late last night, unpacking, and crashing into bed, I ended up lying awake most of the night thinking, "Oh my God, Oh my God" as my heart raced on as a result of realizing how I really didn't have the time to take a whole week off and maintain some sense of sanity for the next two weeks.
Don't expect much for awhile.
