SOMETHING STRANGE IS HAPPENING!!!
We live on the top floor. Thus, sounds from above are rare. Suddenly, as I'm sitting in the den...there is a very very loud scurry from above. I momentarily freak, then realize it is probably a squirrel. Well, more than likely two squirrels. The loud scurrying continues and I start to hear really grotesque squirrel noises. The noises get louder and more gross...and I'm really afraid now that there is a squirrel homicide taking place on my roof! Moses comes running in to check the situation. He jumps up onto the bookcase and quickly realizes that there is nothing he can do...and runs out of the room in terror. The scurrying stops...desperate squirrel noises persist. I think the squirrel may have just died or passed out because I don't hear it anymore. I'm so horrified. Should I call someone?? I think there is a dead or dying squirrel up there!!! Normally, I'm not a fan of squirrels. They are hasty and can't be trusted. Wait - I hear it again! Oh my God! There is something really disturbing about hearing this through the ceiling. I gotta get out of this room....what if they come crashing through??????!!!!!!

I wouldn't worry, unless they have adamantium skeletons.
the cd is in the mail. every time i've had the drive to write, by the time i have the time the moment is gone. things have been so busy. i just need to be more disciplined about it.
Everytime I read this I can hear your terrified voice saying it and making me laugh hysterically because I am SO VERY MEAN that I WOULD laugh at you. Hope the squirrels haven't managed to tunnel through yet. At least your cat could probably do something about unexpected rodent visitors in your house. Percy would be all, "I'M OUTTA HERE. RODENTS WERE *NOT* IN THE CONTRACT."
Update: Josh thinks maybe they were racoons, which is even scarier!!! Also, I heard it again yesterday, minus the terrible screaming sounds. (from neither the animals nor me).
I think Moses might actually be really excited were a rodent to make it into the house.
