How quickly things change...
Today was my first test since graduating college. It was a grad stats exam. I couldn't help but notice how ironic it was. My first stats test in college, I almost passed out I was so nervous. This test was at 3;30 today and I didn't start studying until 10am. Some things never change, however. I was the first to finish, after a little over an hour, and I left. As soon as I walked out the door, I started doubting everything I did. I thought I must have done it wrong, since everyone looked so shocked when I got up to leave. I even got a funny look and a watch glance from a colleague. haha. But, oh well. I think it went fine. There were only one or two subquestions that I wasn't too sure about.
In other news, I got a new computer today. I'm switching to the wonderful world of apple and I already love my shiny, white ibook. It's so cute and fun so far. I'm trying to figure out how to use the ichat program...an indicator that I'm still sort of college-y. :o) But, hey, I gotta keep in touch with friends!
I also have to finish up my big race and ethnicity paper tonight. The paper is complete - just needs citations and worked cited page. The semester is quickly approaching the OVERLOAD busy time. I almost wish this paper wasn't done. It only reminds me that I have 3 more.
With that said, there is work to be done. (and by work, i mean playing with my pretty new mac).

Mair! Hurray!!
Your cat sounds scrumptious. I want one.
I'm so glad we all have blogs!!
Let it be known that I, C. X. Parakeet, am envious of your new computer stylings. The apple is the hallmark of highbrow auteurs and was even used by the Marquise de Sevigne, if I recall correctly.
Aside from that, its got a UNIX-based OS with one of the sweetest (dare I say 'l33test') UIs out there.
Mad props.
Congrats on the new Mac! I met a couple of graphic artists on Sunday and I definitely got the raised eyebrow when I announced I worked off a PC instead. SCANDAL! You're riding the cutting edge, M-Lo. When is it not so, though? >;) I shall quote Jacques from Finding Nemo: "I am ashamed!" (But you'll have to imagine that incriminating beard of algae lodged on his fishy whiskers cause comments aren't THAT sophisticated yet.)
Yes, having three more papers to do is bad, but once you knock one down, you'll be better able to get that paper-writing rhythm. Like the Emeril of papers: "Start out with a tasty rhetorical hook, throw in some good-quality statistical ingredients and some spicy theorizing and BAM! One Delicious Paper!" Good luck!
