Apology to my "reading public"

Well, I was talking to my dad tonight and he informed me that I was "letting my reading public down" by not posting more often. I'm sorry. Here's what I've been doing as of late:

1. Having a bad case of influenza, from which (thanks to the miracle drug tamiflu) I think I am recovering. But, I have been playing hookie all week from all of my responsibilities, except sleeping, eating a little, and whining a lot.
2. Emailing back and forth with "bernie" (see comment section of my last post) about classical theory and what the heck my problem is with the academy. I think bernie and I are just talking past each other.
3. Wasting what seemed like 8 hours today watching Rent. If you haven't seen it, don't. It is boring. The music is like 1983 rock opera, and it is just gratuitous bohemian sexual rebels running around in anguish and wearing flashy 1980's clothes.
4. Being terrified of how behind I am on my thesis. Not thinking about it right now though...

Anyway, as redhurt pointed out on his blog, I only posted 3 times in February and for that I am sorry. I've been trying hard to be a serious student this semester, and have also been trying to go to the gym regularly, and have time to hang out with my friends. It's a lot to balance.

I'll try to do better in March.

Well, I suppose that I can find it in my heart to forgive you. Although, I might forgive you more if you commented more on my blog.

Forgive more? Interesting. No worries Mair, being a student and balancing other stuff (like lizards) is tough, so definitely understood. Hope your t_____ is going well and sorry we won't get to hang out this break. Sometime in the summer a Caler-Chapman walk about? Cheers!

Please do not judge the stage version of Rent based on the movie. It is just like books that are turned into movies. The book is always better.

I have seen the stage version of Rent twice. I took one of my friends with me to see the movie version. I was embarrassed, because I had raved and raved about it.

I hope you feel better soon!
