mmm...chocolates...and confessions

One of my biggest weaknesses in life is assorted chocolates. I love everything about them. I love the map in the top of the box that tells you which delightful piece is where. I love that there is usually more than one cream caramel in the box. I love assorted chocolates. I exercise utmost self-control around them though, because, so rare a treat ought to last. I usually only eat one a day, savoring it in tiny bites. I have little tolerance for people who just throw the whole piece in one bite!

Knowing my weakness for such pleasures, my dearest, most generous sister bought me a big box of Whitman's for Christmas. I was so excited when I tore open the paper and saw that unmistakable yellow box. Then, the most unthinkable thing happened - we went out of town for a week and I had to leave the Whitman's at home!! If I had brought them, I would've had to share. Which brings me to my confession...

I'm very stingy when I have a box of assorted chocolates. So stingy that, when Joshua went to Switzerland junior year of college and bought me a box of Swiss chocolates for Christmas, upon returning to school, I hid the box in my desk drawer and only ate one when the room was empty because I didn't want to have to share them with my roomie. Please don't hate me forever, E! I'm trying to reform!! After all, I sent you chocolate covered espresso beans for your birthday!! Doesn't that make up for it???

While I'm on the confession train, I'd like to confess that I steal twistie-ties from the produce section of the grocery store. Now that garbage bags come with tie-handles, I don't know where else to get them! So, when I buy tomatoes, I wrap about four twisties around the bag instead of one. I'm a terrible person, and I'm going to eat a chocolate now...(but only ONE).

I was always more interested in your wardrobe.

Oh, who am I kidding.

P.S. Chocolate-Dipped Espresso Beans cover a multitude of wrongs.

What do you use the twistie-ties for?
