Family time

It's been a busy couple of days! My sister and brother-in-law arrived Friday afternoon and we've been having tons of fun since they arrived. Friday, we swam lots and had gelato in the evening. Saturday, we went peach and cherry picking at a local orchard, which was very very fun despite the heat. Today, we went to church, took at really long nap and then swam for a few hours. My eyes are really burning right now from chlorine exposure. We all felt like 5th graders again, concocting plans like "Ok - let's all four do a canon ball at the same time!!" Then we tried it in sequence, then we did flips, tried to hit our butts on the bottom (of the 9ft. end), etc. It was a fun reliving of childhood. The boys are currently cooking and we're just planning a relaxing evening. I don't have too much to say. I just wanted to check in and let you know that I'll post some pictures soon. :o) Happy 4th of July (early) everyone!

Mair-
Hey! Thought I would leave a comment on your post since I like it so much. I have to say that your discussion of the sociology of watermelon eating still sticks in my mind. Maybe the best post I have seen, even better than "Why I am a ridiculous liberal and everyone should know that republicans or anyone who doesn't drive a silly blue car should die - objectively." I think that was the name of one of the columns on another blog page, but I forget.
Way to go with the hair chopping, I remember entertaining that idea when I was a young turk with a flowing mullet, but no more. Great to hear about the master's thesis stuff as well, I can't wait to call you Dr. Caler. Hope you had a great fourth and say hi to Josh for me, I love you two.

I wouldn't trust him - he might not be young anymore, but he's still a turk.
