Refreshing Day
Yesterday was an exciting day. Here are the highlights:
1. Having lunch with my husband (even if it was at the Subway on the Corner - the one with the really bad service.)
2. Meeting with my favorite professor SN, brainstorming on thesis ideas, and having him get very excited about my ideas and potential topics. Maybe writing this Master's thesis won't suck after all. Oh - and he told me that all TA's will be getting paid $1000 extra this school year! Yipee!
3. Getting home and realizing that it was POURING rain and I was going to have to make a run for it to the apartment, or sit in the car for awhile with the windows up and suffocate to death. I opted for the former. So, I made a run for it. I hope no one was watching because I must have looked like a lunatic, considering I was laughing out loud by myself the whole time. I got soaked - I mean, had to come in, take my clothes off and dry with a towel SOAKED!
4. CHOPPING ALL OF MY HAIR OFF AND DONATING IT TO LOCKS OF LOVE! The new cut will take some getting used to, and of course I have to figure out how to style it as nicely as the professional did, but it is definitely refreshing to feel air on my neck again. I will post a picture as soon as I can. One question: While I do like the haircut, why is it virtually impossible for a hair stylist to actually make your hair look like the picture you brought in?????
5. Getting all of our books shelved, finally coming up with an agreeable furniture arrangement and working out a creative solution to our hatred of our tv stand.
That's the highlights! Hope you enjoyed them. I better get going because there is still a lot to do around here and my sister and brother-in-law will be arriving from Syracuse, NY tomorrow! Yay!!
Oh - today's highlight so far - sleeping in! :o)

Congratulations on donating your hair to locks of love!! That's awesome. I was going to do the same, but...I didn't make it. And my hair wasn't that lovely anyway. As to why the stylists can never get the style to match your picture, I suggest you ask Grant. Mention 'Ryan Phillipe' and 'Internet Printout' and you might jog his memory.
WOOOHOOOO! You chopped your hair off! I can't WAIT to see it . . . in like 10 months. This sucks. We need to see each other. I will call you, and we shall plot the next time I can see you. Plus you have to post pictures. Say HI to your sis!
