Mr. Jones and Me
Last night, I stayed by myself for the very first time. (Well, there was one time I stayed at my parent's house with Gram...which is essentially alone, but not really.) Mr. Jones kept me company and even slept with me for awhile. He's the best. He didn't even wake me up at 5am so I would feed him. It was nice of him. Actually, right now, he's lying on the desk next to me as I type, occasionally grinding his head into my arm so I will pet him. It was good to have him last night instead of being completely alone. I will admit that I was kinda freaked out for awhile...but I finally fell asleep and everything was fine.
Now, I'm cleaning up the apartment a bit in preparation for my visit from Erica. I'm excited to see her and have some girl time. It will be a blast, I'm sure.
I also just wanted to tell Charles that I went to the city market this morning and bought more tofu from the commune dweller with the braided goatee without a moments guilt over "hurting the economy." I also bought a pound a green beans and a cucumber for $1.50. Poor grad students like myself like cheap produce, especially from local growers! ;o) Sorry, Charlie.

mair, mair, mair. What am I going to do with you? I didn't say, "Buying produce from local growers is wrong." My point was that a dollar into the economy is a dollar into the economy. I applaud your support of small farmers--I wish we could construct our whole lives in such a way as to deny corporations our money. (I just don't know how to do it.) That's what I meant.
Hey, those pictures are really good!
Oh Charlie, I know! I was just razzin' ya! :o) Glad you like the pictures. We had a blast.
